Hello may we introduce **Miss Olivia**
Not much is known about this sweet little lady’s early days, except that she was found wandering as a winter stray and brought to the Ottawa Humane Society. From there, she made her way to the Outaouais Humane Society, before being sprung by the incredible humans at Sit With Me Rescue.
She was lucky enough to be fostered by a wonderful man and his dog, Jakk, until four months ago… when we officially adopted her and brought her home forever.
It’s believed she had a few litters in her previous life, and her ears were sadly cut improperly by former humans. But don’t let her mysterious beginnings fool you — this girl is pure, glowing love. It’s as if she’s always known her worth and was simply waiting for the perfect moment to let it shine.
Since coming home, she’s amazed us with her tricks, her impeccable manners, her delightfully goofy personality, and her love of food — yes, even broccoli . She adores life, adores people, and in just a few short months has become our little shadow. And as anyone knows… you can’t live without your shadow.
Two months after arriving, in a burst of enthusiasm, Miss Olivia decided to test just how committed we were by tearing her CCL (the doggy equivalent of a human ACL). Challenge accepted. She had her surgery like the brave girl she is and has been milking her recovery ever since — complete with cozy cart rides, even after snowstorms. The steady supply of treats during her royal transport probably helps.
She’s now walking again (as per the doctor’s orders), though we suspect she rather misses her “Princess in a Chariot” era.
Miss Olivia may not take home a crown in this contest, but is the champion in our hearts. What truly matters is supporting this wonderful cause — and celebrating all the incredible pups who deserve their happily ever after.
Take care, everyone.
