Ralphie's background is a bit of a mystery as he was adopted from a small rescue when he was estimated to be 2-3 years old. He was unfortunately very sick when adopted and needed to be hospitalized for several days. His back legs are weak and wobbly from his illness but that doesn't stop him from running and playing.
