We rescued Earl a 1 1/2 years ago. He was scheduled to be put down because of heartworms. A local rescue took him from the shelter and had him treated for the heartworms. My fiance' was in the hospital one weekend and we were watching Dog's 101 and they were featuring English Setters. I got online and looked for a rescue in Georgia. They had Earl in the same town that I lived. I put in the application and we adopted him before we even met him. We are in love with this breed. My fiance' is a transplant patient, so Earl is a God send for him and me also.
