Piper's story is bittersweet. After losing Murphy, my constant companion, June 5, 2017 I swore to never go through that again. After two months I found myself spontaneously driving 10 hours in the rain to get Piper. Unbeknownst to me, her paperwork revealed something special - Born: June 5, 2017. On our journey home the clouds began to clear, a huge rainbow appeared and I pictured Murphy at Rainbow Ridge. This picture was taken the first day and you'll notice her legs are shaped in a heart - one last strange coincidence since Murphy had a huge heart-shaped marking on her back. Piper is not a replacement but a whole new love that I get to enjoy. Each morning when she climbs into bed, plops her head on my neck and gives me a "hug" I am reminded of how lucky I am. Yet I wonder, coincidences or??
