Your Pet's Story or Bio
I adopted Rooney from OESR in 2015. I grew up with setters and decided I finally might be ready for one of my own so to get my feet wet and test it out, I contacted OESR about getting involved with fostering. Rooney was my first foster. He was young, wild, birdy and aloof. He also had an injured tail. I was in over my head. But as the weeks went on and I was nursing his tail back to health, not willing to let amputation be the answer, we began to trust each other more and more. We established a routine. He slept in bed with my each night. We went for early morning runs and long walks after work. He was my dog. Four years later and I can say he is absolutely the best dog and everyone who meets him agrees!! Being so handsome helps :)
