Rules

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
  1. Entry fees are a suggested minimum donation of $10.00 per photo. Entry period from July 15th, 2017 9:00 a.m. PST, ending August 31, 2017 8:59 p.m. PST.
  2. An individual may submit more than one photo; however each entry must be of a different person or group.
  3. If different photos are received of the same person or group, only one photo will be considered.
  4. Photos submitted must be FCRCC members; however, voting is open to everyone.
  5. Donations made in support of a person are valued at one vote for every $1.00 donated.
  6. The thirteen (13) photos (12 months and one cover) with the most votes on September 15th, 2017 at 8:59 pm PST will win the chance to be featured in the 2018 "Paddlers of FCRCC" calendar.
  7. By entering the contest, you will also acknowledge and give permission to FCRCC to use the name, story and photo of the person(s) entered in future various publications and materials, including the 2018 "Paddlers of FCRCC" Calendar.
  8. FCRCC reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content or depiction of the person(s) in a photo. The registration fee will be not be refunded. Donations collected will be refunded if requested by the donor.
  9. All entries require the photo, along with names of the subject(s), your name, your discipline (Dragon Boat, Outrigger, etc), and/or your team name. Include a brief paragraph containing something meaningful, fun, and/or interesting about the person/group.
  10. By participating in the contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless FCRCC and each of its officers, directors, representatives, volunteers, and agents from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of any prize.
  11. FCRCC reserves the right to modify or clarify any of the contest rules during the term of the contest without advance notice. Questions? Contact: Karen Lutz tembodesign@shaw.ca

IMAGE REQUIREMENTS
  1. Photos must be high quality, taken at maximum resolution, 300 DPI, minimum 4-megapixels and in a generally accepted file format. (Please note: most phone photos will not meet these standards.)
  2. Photos submitted for the calendar must contain human subjects, who should be present in no less than 1/2 of the frame. Landscape format is preferred.
  3. Please ensure that the photo is sharp and in focus with a clean background.
  4. Group photos are allowed.
  5. Paddle scene photos are allowed (IE out on water).

VOTING
  1. Voting begins July 15, 2017 at 9:00 AM PST and ends September 15, 2017 at 8:59 PM PST.
  2. When commenced, each vote is $1, with a donation minimum of $5. There is no limit to the number of votes one may cast, but you must cast a minimum of 5 votes at a time for a minimum charge of $5.
  3. You may vote for your own photo, and you may spread your votes across multiple photos.

PRIZES
  1. Prizes will be awarded based on electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding. Please note that due to the limitations of Contest's computer tabulating system, there can be up to a 15-minute delay between when a donation is received/recorded and when it is reflected in the leaderboard. All votes received by September 15th, 2017 at 8:59 p.m. PST will be honored. The leaderboard results are official.
  2. The photo with the most votes will have the option of being on the cover; OR their choice of month in the "Paddlers of FCRCC 2018" Calendar, and will also receive 2 complimentary 2018 calendars.
  3. The top 2 through 13 photos will appear in our 2018 calendar. In the order of number of votes; winners will have their choice of month they wish to be featured, and will also receive one complimentary 2016 calendar.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
  1. On your public photo Contest page, there is a "share" button that allows you to share your entry through Facebook and other networking sites.
  2. You can email links to your family, colleagues, friends, and frenimies to encourage voting for your photo.
