Pet's Bio
My name, "Pualani Pea", (pronounced "Poo-ah-lah-nee Pay-ah") means "Flower of Heaven Bear" in Hawai'an, because my mom is third generation from O'ahu. "Pua" means "flower," and "lani" means "heaven." My mom's Hawai'ian name is "Iwalani" - "Bird of Heaven.")
I live in rural central Arizona, with my mom, Tina, and my dad, Mark, (he's holding me in the picture - don't you think we look alike? Same expression, same beard...) and my big brother, Yogi Bear, and big sister, Panda Bear.
My mom used to be an English teacher; now she teaches yoga. My dad is a flooring/tile/wood/stone installer - around these here parts, many folks call him "Tile Master of the Universe."
I love to play with my brother and sister and Mom and Dad - I sleep on my parents' bed all night long, and am generally very calm and well-mannered, although I can be a total pest to Yogi and Panda! I bite Yogi's neck, and corn-teeth his legs! I also talk a lot, too - I love to hold conversations with my siblings and parents - and sometimes I emote to imaginary beings in the hallway. They're real to me!
Oh, by the way, since the Hawai'ans think that the human bellybutton looks like a flower, "pua" also means "bellybutton" in Hawai'ian. So the joke about my name is that it also means "Bellybutton of Heaven Bear."
Right now I'm zonked out in the foyer, but I told Mom to submit this. Aloha, y'all!
