Bird(s)' Story
Hei Hei was found lost in Petaluma during the Sonoma County Firestorm. He is our lucky little fire baby. A good Samaritan brought him to a local rescue thinking he was a wild bird in distress and one of the rescuers brought him home to try and find an owner.
No owners came forward and Hei Hei was adopted. Hei Hei's flockmate was also found in one of the burned areas but the flock mate did not survive. Hei Hei still gets excited, flying around and cooing at the sound of firetrucks, but we hope that he has nothing to fear in his new forever home.
