Bird(s)' Story
Dylan was an amazing pigeon who charmed everyone she met. She was bred & sold at only 3 weeks old to be meat (squab) but was instead "released" by someone misguided but well-intended. Completely helpless, she was very lucky to be taken to a shelter before being killed by a hungry predator but there she nearly starved to death in the cage with a full dish of seeds she was too immature to eat. Despite being already overfull, we took her into Palomacy foster care & nursed her back to health. I adopted her. She was a brilliant ambassador & worked many outreach events. Dylan married pigeon racing survivor Amelio & loved him very much. She died unexpectedly at only 3 years old. She is loved & missed.
