Bird(s)' Story
Amazing, brave Bloom is a domestic King pigeon who was purchased at 4 weeks old from a poultry seller (who dyed her pink) & then misguidedly "released" into a park where she nearly died. Bloom was incredibly lucky to be rescued alive & taken to the SFACC shelter & then, thanks to Palomacy volunteers & supporters, rushed to emergency avian vet care at Medical Center for Birds. After 2 hospitalizations & a lot of ongoing treatment, she is now at 3 months old, strong & nearly recovered. I call this photo: I Bloom
