Bird(s)' Story
Capuchin pigeon Jacob was 22 years old when he found himself in need of a home. Palomacy took him into our care in 2014, thinking it would be foster hospice for this frail old gentleman. This photo was taken in 2017 when he was 25 years old & I was comforting him on the passing of his wife. In 2018, I adopted Jacob & his new bride, Thena, & as I write this today, 7/28/20, he is still going strong at 28 years old! Pet pigeons usually live 10-20 years. Long live Jacob!
