Ms. Pidge was already a senior Chicago city pigeon when she suffered an unknown accident and lost her left wing. Bleeding and in desperate need of help, Ms. Pidge demonstrated the remarkable ability of pigeons to "self-rescue" by trying to walk right into a dental office! Even though she'd spent her whole life as a wild bird, Ms. Pidge adapted quickly to her new life of wearing pigeon pants, being snuggled by humans, and diligently incubating her stuffed toy collection.
