Since moving to Jacksonville, Oregon, I have had an opportunity to do an incredible amount of advocacy on behalf of pigeons. Pepito has become my best ambassador. He is an odd guy. In the aviary, he spends most of his time, dancing and strutting about in an effort to find a girl. But, among human beings, he is the sweetest, most docile pigeon. And, he loves to be photographed. He will even pose for the camera! I have this crazy hope of getting him a role in a movie, so that people will start to love pigeons again!
