On June 3, 2023, the rescue community made history! We demonstrated outside of the State Capital in Sacramento, CA against the release of domesticated pigeons for money, sport, and entertainment. We talked to a lot of people that day about National Pigeon Appreciation Day, the cruel uses people make of pigeons, and the need for laws to protect them. We have started! The greyhound rescue community did it. Greyhound racing is virtually gone in the US. And the pigeon rescue community shut down large pigeon shoots in PA. We can do it too!
