Noir suffered neurological damage when she entered the rescue. We adopted her and she was our first pigeon. This is where our love for pigeons truly began. She’s a gentle soul who loves ‘her boy’ and snuggles. The bond that she formed almost immediately with him was amazing. She knows he is her safe place. It’s hard to understand how anyone could be cruel or cast out this delicate life. Now she’s become more confident and even flies longer distances around the house when following him from room to room. She enjoys building Lego, playing the Nintendo and listening to audiobooks in her pastime with her BFF. A truly remarkable journey that is all about love, compassion and safety. In this photo, the way her eyes are closed says everything. You can see she knows she is safe and loved now. That unknown painful past is truly something she will never have to know again.
