This is Sammy, a feral pigeon found with an eye injury, eventually resulting in the loss of sight in that eye. Feral pigeons need every single advantage to stay alive in the wild and missing an eye is a big liability . Most wildlife rescues would euthanize a pigeon with this disadvantage (which is absolutely in the best interest of the pigeon) but living a protected life in a safe aviary was made possible by Palomacy. Sammy is now living his best life! Feral pigeons adjust amazingly well to domestic conditions!
