On June 22, 2025, I found a beautiful baby white-winged dove. My son named her Kiki. I didn’t know how to care for a baby bird, so I reached out for help, only to be heartbroken by the response from SFW and FWC. I was told they would euthanize her because she was no longer protected under their license. I couldn’t let that happen. I chose to care for Kiki myself, and she’s been thriving ever since. She’s loving, playful, and adores sunbathing. The first time she spread her wings was absolutely breathtaking. Kiki has truly changed our lives forever.
