For several years, people have been feeding the feral pigeon flock on the UC campus in Berkeley. I inherited this task 5 years ago. The pigeons act like native pigeons, roosting in the big oak tree while I get my act together. Sometimes there are 50 birds! Occasionally I see a native, band-tail pigeon. Usually pinon jays and teeny tiny chickadees also get a meal.
