Don't ever let someone convince you pigeons need to fly. Look at these utter units for "proof of loaf." - Living the best life at Jillville.

Pigeons don't need much, and flying in the big sky isn't on their list. To be happy, they need: food, water, shelter, a nest, something to engage with, and love. (Unlike wild birds, feral pigeons are easily domesticatable. I am sure they'd rather walk in the crosswalk or take the subway, than have to fly - after all, they are just trying to make a living - unlike Sid and Muffin here.)
