Hi! I'm Flapjack! Everyone loves pancakes, right? Well, surprise pancakes would be even better - and I'm a surprise pancake. My mom, Beanie, and my dad, Pidgy, are both Palomacy rescues. We live in an aviary with other foster birds, and every morning, our foster mom comes in to say hello, clean our house (which is awesome), and bring us fresh food and water. She also checks for eggs everyday and when she finds any, she replaces them with fake ones (she calls them "feggs", which sounds really funny to me, but it has a certain logic to it). Well, apparently, my mom Beanie hid me very well, because one morning in March my foster mom picked Beanie up so she could clean out her nest box, and HELLO! There I was! This picture is of me and my dad on Father's Day. My dad used to be a racing pigeon, but he got lost on his first race, which happens to a lot of pigeons, and he was struck by a hawk. He lost the use of his left leg, but it hasn't stopped him from being the world's best dad.
