Meet Heiffer! She was found kept in a dog kennel at an auto repair shop. Soon after, she was taken home by a well intentioned rescuer who found out pigeons are harder to care for then they seem. Attempts to throw her back into the wild failed with her appearing on their roof. Through word of mouth and some luck, I brought her home and she has lived with my two other rescue birds for 7 years now! Once labeled as "BEEFY!" after a vet visit, Heiffer loves to fly around the space she shares with a parakeet and a macaw and will escape any cage door that is even partially cracked open. She's a strong survivor, a beautiful bird, and a wonderful part of my family!
