My city...Pasadena
A little about me...My name is Poppy, and I’m a 1 ½-year old Pit Bull/Poodle mix. My people think I’m literally the best dog that ever existed. I don’t know about all that, but I am living the sweet life now. I was rescued with my mom and littermates on the day I was born, and a kind foster took care of all of us until we were old enough to be adopted. When my new family saw me, they couldn’t apply fast enough. My family includes two adults, two kids, two kittens and a snail. I’m still getting used to the kittens, but my previous best friend was an old cat, so I think it will work out fine. I love to snuggle with my humans, chase squirrels, and lay in the sun. I got my name because when I was a puppy, I loved to lay in the sunbeams in my yard. Poppies are not only California natives, but they’re phototropic, which means they turn towards the sun throughout the day, just like me. I also love to climb trees. I run up a palm tree in my yard when I’m chasing squirrels and can get 7 or 8 feet off the ground! I also love to have playdates with one of my brothers and another dog friend who live nearby. I like to ride in the car, and basically go anywhere my family goes, especially to parties with lots of kids to love on me and give me belly rubs.
