A little about me...
My name is Cooper and I was rescued as a very young puppy, along with my Mum and nine other brothers and sisters, from underneath an old decaying boat in Byhalia, Mississippi. A kind person saw my emaciated Mum scrounging for food and followed her back to the boat, sparking our rescue. The Byhalia 11 made our way to a rescue group in Tennessee and my Mum and brothers and sisters were all adopted by families all over the country. It was sad being the last, but I soon found out it was serendipitous that I hadn't been adopted yet because the timing just right when I caught the eye of my current family in Pennsylvania. A long trip east and 11 happy years later, I am living my best life with my BFF, The Hippo. He's been my best friend since my first night in my new home and as you can see I am somewhat crazed over him. I am known to have some very serious conversations with him (sometimes in the middle of the night , which seems to surprise everyone) , take my cookies to eat near him, and even bring him to my dinner bowl so he sits with me while I eat. We are both a little older now - I am graying around the eyes and cheeks and he splitting at the seams a bit, but family means unconditional love, which is what I have been fortunate enough to have always known.
