A little about me...
Hi there! My name’s Smokey, and I’m a very good boy—at least that’s what my humans tell me all the time. I’m not sure what it means exactly, but it always comes with ear scritches and treats, so I’m pretty sure it’s a good thing.

I was just six months old when my whole life changed. One day, these kind eyes and gentle hands showed up, scooped me up, and brought me home. My home - where my older brother Dewey showed me the ropes. From that moment on, I knew I was part of something really special.

Let me tell you a secret: I LOVE FETCH. Like, really really love it. You throw it? I chase it. You throw it again? I chase it again. Forever. Never gets old. Ball is truly life.

One of the best things in the world is going to the beach. Sand in my paws, salty wind in my ears, and the ocean! Did I mention I love swimming? I love being in the ocean, just like my humans.

I get to go on backpacking trips in the Sierra Nevada where I sniff all the things and sleep under the stars with my favorite people. Sometimes I get to carry my own little doggie pack (I feel very important). While the humans were resting at a glacial lake, I found the most perfect stick so that we could play fetch! It was the best time. This is me at Big Pine, CA!
