A little about me...
On New Year’s Day of 2025, after yelping nonstop for weeks at the shelter, I was rescued by a volunteer. She accepted that I was blind, deaf, and suffered from hip dysplasia. She would find out later that I had bad teeth, requiring 8 extractions! One week later to the day, we would leave our Altadena home on January 8, 2025 at 2:15AM, one hour before official evacuation notices for the Eaton Fire were issued. That’s me in the crate with my step-sister, PHS 2013, at my grandparents’ home. It was a frightening and confusing time, but we finally returned home a week later. Since we had no gas, she wiped me and my step-sister down with pet wipes daily to rid us of toxic ash. Eventually, my family entered a peaceful routine. I am now finally confident enough to be relaxed. Oh, what a year!
