My city...Pasadena
A little about me...My name is Juniper - or, Junie, as my closest and casual friends like to call me. I’m named for the resilient, powerful Juniper trees found all over the desert in Sedona, as that’s where my Mom was traveling when she received a response to my adoption application. Juniper trees are said to flourish in dry soil, their trunks twisting as they spiral toward the sky, propelled upward by the energy vortexes rising from the earth. Adaptable to the harshest conditions.
My story starts when I was abandoned in the desert & arrived at a shelter there, thin & undernourished… somehow I managed to survive long enough to be rescued by a volunteer run rescue organization and placed with a foster family. Things there were not the best for me either, and I was moved yet again, arriving at a wonderful, loving foster home. My new mom was delayed in picking me up because of the Eaton Fires, but… it’s all a happy ending for me! I now have the run of the house and 24/7 love. I’ve learned to fly up & down staircases, diving for springs while stopping for pets and kisses. I love tummy rubs the most, with armpit and chin scratches coming in a close second. Despite it all, I’ve never lost my trust and love of humans and am always grateful for any box, no matter how small, left out on the floor because I am a master at creating a new, cozy sleeping space for my fluffy self to relax.
