My city...Pasadena
A little about me...Hi, I’m Lux—a lady of adventure and comfort, and a full-time squirrel enthusiast.
I’m five years young, 80 pounds of joy, and was adopted in January 2021 after being surrendered to a shelter in the Valley. My humans scooped me up, and we hit the road, spending three magical years in Washington state, where I fell in love with snowflakes, mossy sticks, and taking a dip in every river we passed.
Now we’re back in beautiful Pasadena, and let me tell you—this place is a squirrel chaser’s dream. So many oak trees. So many squirrels. So much possibility.
I’m a Great Pyrenees/Beagle/Irish Setter mix, which means I’m equal parts explorer, cuddlebug, and nose-on-the-ground tracker. I’ve logged over 10,000 miles on family road trips (including a passport stamp to Canada!) and my humans keep a dedicated Google list of “Lux Stops”—every dog park and river worth sniffing.
Fun fact: my name is actually a nod to lighting—both of my humans work in the entertainment industry, and “lux” is a unit of light. Fitting, since I light up every room I walk into (especially if there’s food).
My favorite activities include sleeping upside down with my feet in the air, swimming in anything that resembles a puddle, and making sure I’m always within 6 feet of my humans.
These days you’ll find me under a patio table at a dog-friendly café, seeking out my next comfy nap spot, or locked in a high-stakes staring contest with the nearest squirrel.
