A little about my photo...
This little fawn is feeling safe and comfortable, knowing his mom is not far away. His mom will "park" him during the day, and be keeping an eye on him from nearby, so her presence won't attract predators to her baby.
When I was just four years old, my folks took me to a county fair a day before opening day. I was allowed to pet a fawn not much bigger than this little guy, who was part of the petting zoo exhibit. Our photo was on the front page of the local newspaper. I guess I was just meant to have wild animals in my life!
