Pumpkin Pie is a community cat. He is one of three who live in the neighborhood and are taken care of by residents. I have been tending to his needs for the past six years, and he enjoys sitting on the bench in my front yard. His best friend is a white and orange female (Misty) with whom he sleeps and plays. Although he does not like to be petted, he will follow me around the yard and sit near me as I work. I talk to him and he appears to listen especially when I tell him that he is a very handsome tabby.
