Disclaimer:
PAALS dogs may be entered into the Paws & Pints Spokespet Contest to help raise awareness and support our mission. However, if a PAALS dog receives the highest number of votes, they will be recognized with an Honorable Mention, and the official prize, including the beer can feature from Savage Craft Ale Works, will be awarded to the next highest-ranking contestant. This ensures that the contest remains a fun and fair opportunity for our community supporters while still celebrating the incredible impact of PAALS dogs.
Grand Prize Winner
The winning Spokespet, which is the dog or cat that receives the most votes in The Contest, wins the following prizes:
- Their image is on the label for Paws and Pints beer, which is a limited, small-batch production by Savage Craft Ale Works in Columbia, South Carolina.
- A case of Paws and Pints beer featuring the dog or cat’s image. Donated by Savage Ale Works, each case of Paws and Pints beer is valued at $84.
- A $100 worth of pet products from Mill Creek Pet Food Store in Columbia, SC
- A photo shoot with professional photographer Rob Wilson and an 11x14 canvas print of the pet valued at $200. Rob is based in Columbia, South Carolina.
- 2 tickets to our Diamonds and Denim event on November 15th.
- Special recognition at the unleashing party on September 12th at Savage Craft Ale Works.
Second and Third Place Finalists
The second and third places in The Contest will be considered the contest finalists. Each finalist will receive:
- Second Place: Gifts valuing $100.
- Third Place: A $75 gift card from Happy Pets Salon and Spa
Process for Awarding Prizes
Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services (PAALS) will attempt to notify the top three finalist pet families by telephone or email on or about Tuesday, September 2, 2025. If the potential winners cannot be contacted within three (3) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place from the next non-winning, eligible top vote-getter. The Spokespet, along with their human, will be honored at the unleashing event at Savage Craft Ale Works on September 12th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM when the brewery cans the Paws and Pints Beer. This year, we will have a live band, vendors, and, of course, our red carpet!
Winner Requirements
Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner among the remaining eligible entries. Prizes involving the production of beer can label artwork will be fulfilled within approximately one week after the conclusion of the contest.
