Paws As Loving Support (PALS) Assistance Dogs
Paws As Loving Support (PALS) Assistance Dogs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the human/animal bond by providing specially trained:
Service PALS help children with disabilities, including apraxia, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, mobility, and psychiatric impairments. These dogs assist with the daily needs in the home and the in community thus increasing a child's or young adult's independence and confidence.
Facility PALS assist professionals working with children with special needs.
Courthouse PALS provide emotional support and comfort to victims and witnesses of violent crimes before, during and at the conclusion of a trial.
Social PALS,
Therapy PALS, and
Reading PALS Teams are certified to volunteer and serve the remaining needs of the community by visiting hospitals, convalescent and care homes, senior centers, schools, libraries and other facilities.
Comfort PALS Teams are on call to respond to schools and other sites after a death or tragedy to provide much needed comfort and emotional support.
Comfort, Crisis, Peer Support PALS Teams are invited by First Responder Peer Support personnel to provide comfort and emotional support to First Responders at work, in the field, during critical incident stress debriefings or whenever and wherever the support is needed.
