Winston

Write a brief bio of your pet. (favorite things, their backstory, personality traits, etc.)
Winston is the most lovable and goofy 1.5 year old dog you will ever meet! We adopted Winston from the Lifeline Shelter in Atlanta. We think he is a mix of black lab/chow because his tongue is black. He loves showing off his tongue and always sticks it out in pictures (like the one submitted). He is named after a dog my husband and I met at the Kona Coffee Tour in Hawaii. After meeting this sweet boy, we decided to start looking to adopt one back home. We saw Winston the first day we walked through the shelter and he was sitting quietly all alone in his pen. He was so quiet we walked right by him at first, but when we turned around he was wagging his tail and it was love at first site. Winston's birthday is July 4, which makes sense because he is a firework. He loves all the attention including snuggles, pets, and fetch! Winston absolutely LOVES his cat brother, Boomer. He will periodically go up to him and give him kisses. He enjoys long walks, but trips often or runs into things because he is so busy looking for squirrels. Winston has made our house a home and one of our favorite activities we enjoy is taking a long walk with him and a beer :)

How would your pet spend the day if they could plan an afternoon of fun?
Winston would absolutely be outside ALL DAY! He would begin his morning by getting all sorts of foods that he always smells mom and dad making and eating it on the back deck. After a large breakfast, he would take a quick nap with his cat brother, Boomer. Once he is refreshed from his nap, he would want to take a walk around Grant Park to say hello to all the zoo animals! Winston would return to his home and you would find him sunbathing on the back deck and snoozing in the sun. Once he is awake he would want his parents to take him to a body of water so he could splash around and play (but only in the shallow end because he is still learning how to swim!). After a swimming session, he would want his parents to let him loose in the park where he could chase after every bird and squirrel he sees. He would love to run around off leash and play with his doggo neighbors. His perfect night would end with an amazing dinner of foods he always smells his parents cooking. Lastly, before bed, he would want to lay on his back and receive a never ending tummy rub. Once it's time for bed, Winston would be allowed in his parents king bed and sleep right in the middle of them. That would be Winston's perfect day!
