Write a brief bio of your pet. (favorite things, their backstory, personality traits, etc.)
Sergei is my soulmate, though he is now passed. We spent 14 of his 15 years together, and he taught me so much. He was a cranky dictator with an excellent sense of humor, refined tastes, and few real demands. The few he had he made very clear. As a younger dog, he could sniff out a tennis ball from a mile away and would make artwork with his kibble. He would lay in the crook behind my knees, while we slept, for most of his life. I miss that.

He was thrown over the fence at PAWS in 2008 and there was nowhere for him to go, and I was lucky enough to step up to take him in.

Sergei Ivanovich McKelvey was a true individual and the love of my life. He was also quite a stunning little mixed breed pup and would look amazing on a beer can.
