Petunia is all vibes and no thoughts. She can only focus her braincells on one thing at a time. Those things include playtime, cuddles, bones, stuffies, and looking adorable (ok, that one she can do all the time). Her favorite place in the world is a dog park full of new friends to play with and tennis balls to chase. At home, she loves to snuggle on the couch, chase her tail, play tug with her humans, and take up at least 75% of the (humans’) bed at night.

Petunia, aka Sweet P, was found roaming an apartment complex in early September 2024. The skinny, shy pup quickly blossomed into a grade-A sweetheart and silly goose. When an owner did not come forward, her humans immediately foster-failed (delightedly so) and introduced her to the extended family pack. Her best friend is her cousin Renegade, who was adopted a few months after her. They love to wrestle and chase each other around the yard when Renegade visits.

How would your pet spend a summer afternoon?
Petunia would start her afternoon at the dog park. She loves to run and chase tennis balls (although she’s less keen about bringing them back). She is FAST and loves to outrun other dogs, but she’s (usually) polite enough to not steal their balls or frisbees. After many breaks in the pool, where she enjoys lounging and cooling down, she would join her humans at a brewery or local beer garden (Red’s is a favorite!) While out and about, she loves to receive head pats (and sometimes treats) from other patrons, aka new friends. If this afternoon falls on a Wednesday, you can find her cheering on her humans as they play bocce. After all that, she’s pretty tired and would finish her afternoon with dinner, a short walk around the neighborhood (she has to catch up on the news!), and a cozy spot on the couch with her humans.
