Share a short bio about your pet!
Ollie was found wandering the streets of Atlanta in early February 2025. He chose his rescuer by walking up to my niece's car. Severely underweight and desperately needing care, he was taken to a local shelter. Just three weeks later, despite being considered highly adoptable, my niece received the call no one wants to get: Ollie was scheduled for euthanasia that day because kennel stress had become too much.

We had no grand plan. We simply couldn't let him die.

When Ollie came home, he was 20 pounds underweight and heartworm positive—little more than skin and bones. Today, he's healthy, strong, and pure joy. Every morning is the best morning ever. He loves long walks, brewery patios, and making new friends. Everywhere he goes, people fall in love with him.

More than a year later, we're still fostering Ollie while waiting for the family that's meant to find him. We saved his life, but the truth is, he rescued a little piece of ours too.

Mocha Madness—bold, lively, and just a little caffeinated at first, but give him a few minutes and he melts into the sweetest dog you'll ever meet.

How would your pet celebrate PAWS Atlanta's 60th anniversary?
Ollie would spend the day doing what he does best: charming complete strangers into thinking they came to celebrate PAWS, when really they came to meet him. In true Ollie fashion, he'd celebrate by living exactly the life PAWS has spent the last 60 years making possible—a life filled with safety, second chances, and people who love him.
