Share a short bio about your pet!Meet Connie Chung, our little investigative reporter.
Connie was born right in our backyard to her fearless mama, Deborah Roberts. The original plan was simple: trap, neuter, and release with the help of PAWS Atlanta. PAWS made that possible by helping them get their “TNR.” The “R,” however…was a spectacular failure.
Every day, Connie would inch a little closer. One more step. One more sniff. One more moment of trust. Before long, this curious little journalist decided that reporting from outside wasn’t nearly as exciting as becoming part of the family. Deborah agreed, and the two officially moved indoors.
Connie is now Chief Investigative Reporter for the News Team, always first to inspect grocery bags, investigate suspicious noises, and monitor every meal preparation with unwavering dedication.
Not every member of the News Team has checked in recently. Robin Roberts, Diane Sawyer, Barbara Walters, and Monica Kaufman are currently on assignment, and we’re still hoping they’ll file their next report from home one day.
PAWS Atlanta didn’t just help us care for a community cat—they changed the course of our family’s story. What began as a commitment to TNR became two lives forever intertwined through patience, trust, and love.
Connie may have been born in the backyard, but she chose us every single day until one day…she simply came home.

How would your pet celebrate PAWS Atlanta's 60th anniversary?Connie would celebrate by thanking every volunteer who helped change her story. Then she’d encourage everyone to support PAWS so more backyard kittens can become beloved family members, just like she did.
