The mother of a family had cancer and the family had to make the hard decision to giveaway their dog. A dad with his 2 kids held a cardboard sign up giving the dog away at a Wal Mart parking lot. I love black labs and been wanting one. I drove by and saw this sad dog (which now knowing how smart Macy is, I know that she knew something was wrong), I knew I couldn't leave her there. She was mine. The owner explained how she lived the first year of her life in their garage, and after some time with Macy she was skittish about a lot of things. We are not sure what type of care she received her first year. Let me tell y'all, Macy has such a wonderful diva personality. She is the sassiest thing. Her favorites are food, demanding for pets and kisses, and enjoys getting dressed up. She also loves napping and sun bathing. Macy is a graduate of doggy school, she knows her basic commands. She is such a sweet angel, everyone cannot help but fall in love with her. I get tears thinking about how she is my best friend, truly! My parents say she is their gran-dog. I try to tell everyone her story so they will be more open minded towards saving dogs that are not in shelters and to be patient when working with them. With patience, love, and care they will become your best friend.
