Contest has ended. Central Time

We need your support and this is a fun way to advertise us to all your friends and family and win prizes in the process!  As shelters discontinue spay/neuter and immunization services, Paws in Prison must now absorb these additional veterinary expenses, and as you probably know from your own critters, veterinary expenses and food costs are continually rising.  The "no kill" shelters are full and rural shelters still euthanize! Our goal is to get dogs rescued from these rural kill shelters, trained, then adopted so we can rescue more dogs and give our amazing trainers in the Paws in Prison program more training experiences.  Won't you help us by entering a photo into the contest or voting on the contest cutest critters?

So start snapping those photos and entering your Cutest Critter! You can enter your Cutest Critter photo beginning Monday, September 1, 2025 to start promoting your photo to your friends and families.  Your critter can be any pet, living or who crossed the rainbow bridge, who has stolen your heart, not just dogs. You will have the entire month of September to not only enter the contest, but also to get everyone you know to vote for your Cutest Critter.  Each vote translates to a $1 donation to Friends of Paws in Prison, and folks can vote as often and for as many critters as they wish.  For example, 50 votes requires a $50 donation.

The Top 12 Winners Win A Cutest Critter
2026 Calendar

The top 12 photos with the most votes will receive a  2026 Friends of Paws in Prison Cutest Critter Calendar with each month represented by one of the top 12 Cutest Critter photo winners. These calendars will subsequently be available on our website merchandise page for approximately $25 each after the end of the contest.

The contest ends at midnight, Tuesday, September 30.  Check out the ongoing leaderboard to see who is ahead during the voting period. An ongoing count keeps the competition to win going!  Keep in mind this is a fundraiser for an amazing nonprofit that saves the lives of shelter dogs and rehabilitates incarcerated women.

Donations made to Friends of Paws in Prison are tax-deductible as allowed by law as we are a 501(c)3 organization.
