Pawsitive Restorations Animal Rescue is a licensed, 501c3 nonprofit, foster-based animal rescue that receives no city or state funding for our services. We rely solely on community support and donations from animal-loving individuals and businesses to save the lives of hundreds of desperate animals every year. Our volunteers are committed to saving animals in critical need. PRAR exists to rescue, rehabilitate, house and ultimately find loving, responsible, forever homes for at-risk animals from across the country. Although we are an all-breed animal rescue and do take animals of all ages and breeds and in all conditions, our primary focus is to save pregnant/nursing moms, high-risk, medically fragile pets, and severe neglect and abuse cases who are often the first to be scheduled for euthanasia in under-served, under-funded rural animal shelters. PRAR also works to free innocent pets from the underground world of the pet trade, where these precious companion animals are treated as moneymaking commodities who are routinely denied socialization, basic medical care, and proper exercise.
Once in the safe and loving embrace of Pawsitive Restorations Animal rescue, we work with each dog to determine temperament, personality, and best home environment for the specific animal’s needs. All our orphans receive comprehensive veterinary care from our AAHA accredited veterinary partners. We provide each animal with a spay or neuter, vaccinations, a microchip, parasite testing, prevention, and treatment. Many of our orphans arrive sick or injured and are often in need of advanced medical care. Whether it’s heartworm or tick disease, advanced pneumonia, neonate bottle babies, congenital defects requiring extensive surgical intervention, gunshot wounds, or mangled limbs, they receive urgent and appropriate care with follow-up rehabilitation before being adopted into pre-screened, approved and appropriate homes.
