This calendar gives more than warm fuzzies – it gives second chances.
CONTEST RULES:
- The contest opens at 12:00 AM (Mountain Time) on Friday, August 1, 2025. The contest closes at 8:00 PM (Mountain Time) on Sunday, August 31, 2025. No votes will be counted after the contest closes. No exceptions.
- Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from PRAR or any other shelter, nor do they have to reside in Aurora CO to enter the contest.
- For this FUNdraiser, each photo entry requires a $30 entry fee (all entrants will receive one FREE 2026 calendar!), and each vote costs $1. You can submit multiple photos, but each requires its own entry fee. Although you can enter several photos of your pet, that pet can only win one of the top 3 prizes.
- Calendars are expected to be ready to ship or pick up in the first half of November, 2025
- Calendars may be shipped to you for $6 per calendar. This is the printer’s fee and is not included in the entry fee. You may also pick up your calendar from the rescue (In S.E. Aurora, CO) at no charge.
- Calendars not picked up by 12/15/25 will become the property of PRAR.
- Each entrant (pet) may win only one of the top 3 prizes.
- For instance, if your pet’s photo wins a monthly calendar spot, that pet/photo is not eligible to win another level prize.
- Don’t forget that you can also purchase a special day to highlight your furry friend! Reserve-A-Date feature available on a first-come / first-reserved basis at an additional cost of $12 per date reserved.
- Winners will be announced on PRAR’s social media channels and on our website in early September. Grand Prize winner will be contacted by phone or email within 48 hours of contest close to schedule their professional photo shoot. All other prize winners will be contacted via email by September 7th.
- PRAR reserves the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason. Should this happen, we will notify you and, if an appropriate replacement cannot be obtained, refund your entry fee if desired. PRAR has final approval on all photos submitted and reserves the right to replace an animal's photograph to overcome production issues.
- All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of Gogo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.
- Prizes are non-transferable.
- All entries and photographs become the property of Pawsitive Restorations Animal Rescue (PRAR) for any and all purposes without compensation. By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all the rights to your entry materials.
- If an entrant submits a photo that is copyrighted by another individual, the entrant shall be responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against the entrant.
- By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless PRAR and the contest Sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
IMAGE REQUIREMENTS:
So long as an animal does not look distressed (e.g., fearful or anxious), you may enter the contest with whatever picture(s) you choose, however, only photos that meet the print requirements can be used for monthly winners.
- All photo submissions must be digital.
- We cannot accept photos with digital overlays, photo stickers, doodles or any digital effects.
- Photos of non-wildlife, domestic companion animals accepted.
- This may include dogs, cats, small pets, domestic birds, equines, aquatics, and reptiles.
- One pet per photo, please. All animals should be shown respectfully and humanely.
- You may enter as many pets and photos as you would like! Each photo entry is $30
- Photos may not include any humans.
- Please ensure that the photo selected is sharp and in focus with a clean background.
- Photos with professional photographer watermarks are not eligible to be included in the calendar.
- Photos should be in landscape (horizontal) format.
- Photos must be a minimum of 3600x2700 pixels (or 12x9 inches) at a resolution of 300 DPI.
- Generally, cell phones from 2020 onwards should take photos of sufficient quality. PNG, JPG and TIFF image formats are accepted.
- If the photo you submitted is a top 12 winner and the photo you submitted is not of appropriate print quality, we will require that you provide a selection of 3-4 print-quality photos of the pet by September 8th, 2025, to be included in the production of the calendar.
- If 3-4 appropriate print-quality photos are not provided by the September 8th deadline, PRAR reserves the right to offer the spot to the next runner-up.
VOTING:
- The submission and voting period beings at 12:00 AM (Mountain Time) on Friday, August 1, 2025. The contest closes at 8:00 PM (Mountain Time) on Sunday, August 31, 2025. No votes will be counted after the contest closes. No exceptions
- Everyone is eligible to vote. There is no limit to the number of votes you can cast or the number of pets that you can vote for. Here's how it works:
- Each vote costs $1.00 in the form of a donation on the contest website. The minimum amount is $5.00 (which allows you to cast 5 votes). Your donation is instantly converted into a vote bank. Then you can cast your votes on your favorite superstar(s).
- When you purchase your "votes" you are making a life-saving donation to the Pawsitive Restorations Animal Rescue Medical Fund. You, the voter, have the starring role in providing a happily ever after to an animal in need. Being a 501c3 non-profit organization, any votes purchased are considered a tax-deductible donation. When you complete your transaction to purchase votes, you will receive a confirmation email. This will serve as your 888receipt. Contest donations are processed by a secure (SSL, PCI-Compliant) payment processor. All major credit cards and Visa and MasterCard debit cards are accepted.
- Please share the contest with your Superstar's voting public - all your family, friends, and fans!!! If you are entering a photo, you will have access to a share link which you can email, text, or post to your social media accounts. The more you share the better you fair!
- There may also be promotions where donors can get bonus votes. Keep a close eye on the PRAR Facebook page for pop-up voting promotions!
- Votes must register online to be counted. PRAR is not responsible for user errors, slow servers or issues that may prevent votes from being processed.
- In the case of a tie for a calendar spot, the entrant that reached their final vote total first will receive the prize.
