Joy and Nash were both rescued by PAWS NELA. Joy is 4 and had a tough life before being rescued. She has the most soulful brown eyes that reach right to your heart. She is loyal and so very sweet and she LOVES the dirt! Good thing she is black! She has had her tail and her right rear leg amputated...but that sure doesn't slow her down. She keeps right up with Nash, who is about 1 year old. Nash is a unique pup. A Basset and Catahoula mix, he is our clown, keeps us laughing all the time with his antics. He loves tennis balls, loves to give kisses, loves to snuggle, and loves his Joy! We are so grateful to PAWS NELA for rescuing our dogs from the very crowded Ouachita Parish Animals Shelter in LA. They are both enjoying life in CT and are very spoiled. They are sporting Breast Cancer Awareness Bandanas in honor of their Grandmother, who is battling the disease. Hoping this photograph will do two things....raise money for PAWS NELA, an organization so very close to my heart AND also raise awareness for breast cancer. Nash and Joy are proud to wear pink!!!!
