In December, 2013, I was running into town one night to pick up some supplies and as I passed a convenience store on Thomas Road, I saw a cute, young cat sitting on the corner in the rain watching the cars go by. I turned around and went back to give him some cat food (I always have a bucket of cat food in my car for stray cats). When I approached him slowly to put down some food, he came running to me. I was surprised that I was able to reach down and pick him up. I took him home, and he acted as if he had always belonged there. I named him Thomas since he was found on Thomas Road. He doesn't mind rain, and actually enjoys sitting outside in a slow, drizzling rain. Water seems to bead up on his fur like water does on a duck's back!
