Your Pet's Story or Bio
A poor, sickly, frail little kitten washed up at my house one day in a hard downpour. I was not sure she would even make it through the night. I put her in a cat carrier beside my bed so that I could keep check on her through the night. She seemed to have pneumonia and her abdomen was full of air. She made it through the night and seemed like she had perked up some. I put her in the sunroom with some of my other cats that go in and out during the day. We took her to our vet to treat all her medical issues, and she grew stronger every day. One day, I looked up to see her at the back door with a ball in her mouth. I let her inside the house. She dropped the ball, so I picked it up and threw it. She brought it right back to me. We continued to play fetch for about 20 minutes. When my husband came home, I told him to watch and see if she would do it again. She did! She won me over and was allowed to stay inside the house, not just in the sunroom, since she had proven how much she wanted to interact with people. She is Miss Socialite! She loves to play with our granddaughters. Since she washed up in the rain, and since one of my twin granddaughters is named Reina, I named this kitten Reina. She will bring her ball and drop it at my feet for me to play fetch with her. When I am busy, she will follow me around the house with the ball crying for me to stop and play with her. She like to be the center of attention when we have company.
