Liesel was rescued by PAWS in March of 2011, after being found with her right rear foot missing. After her amputation recovery, Liesel was flown to us by Pilots N Paws. Her story and bubbling personality has touched the lives of so many, all over the world but none more than mine. While I thought I was rescuing Liesel, it was her that was rescuing me. I see the strength this pup has and how she often uses humor and compassion to ease the souls and minds of those around her. After years of battling illnesses myself, Liesel has enabled and shown me how to have a different approach to my health and well being.
To say she is remarkable would be an understatement. She is, my hero and I owe it all to PAWS for giving this pup a second chance who has, in turn, given me a second chance.
