Your Pet's Story or Bio
Amos was my first Basset Hound and he is why.....good and bad, that they are my favorite breed of dog! Amos lived for 13 years, came to us as a puppy. He was always spoiled rotten and had lots of adventures in his life. He marched in parades, went camping, went on a whale watch, among other things. Amos loved everyone, never met a stranger. He was a social dog, very outgoing and very vocal. He had the BEST Aroooo around! He was a little devil, he just never grew up! He could countersurf with the best of em. He was also my snuggle partner for thirteen years, slept curled around my legs, every night. He lived a good life, but like many bassets can, he developed disc problems and when the pain became too great for him to bear, we set him free. This picture is probably about ten years old now, but is my favorite of him. It was taken in the days before digital cameras were commonplace....I went through a lot of film to get the perfect one! This is classic Amos.....and if he had been a human, I think this may have been how he would have spent a lot of long winter days. Amos Joseph~ 10/16/1997- 11/4/2010 RIP
