Rooster is the most lovable dachshund I have ever known. He was found on a highway and when no one answered the lost and found ad, he became mine. He is approximately 9 years old and makes friends wherever he goes....and he goes everywhere I go. He has a closet full of outfits for any occasion and loves to show them off. His hard hat and safety vest were required for him to go on the right-of-way for the pipeline project I worked on. He struggles with his weight since all his friends keep a supply of treats on hand for him. Being the office mascot, he made his daily rounds to get a snack when he wanted one. He loves to go for a ride whether it's in a car, boat, jet ski or 4-wheeler. He is not afraid of anything (except thunder) and has protected me by killing snakes, raccoons and possums. He knows right from wrong and even rolls his eyes at me when he dislikes a suggestion I make. I'm so lucky to have a best friend like Rooster.
