Gertrude was just eight weeks old when I brought her home and life has been happy chaos ever since. A friend gave her to me as she was the result of an unexpected litter. Over the years she has rightfully earned her reputation as being "The World's Most Expensive FREE Dog" and has been worth every penny! So many unplanned puppies have become just another sad statistic at our local animal shelter. We're entering this contest as a way to help make a difference for the less fortunate pups, and kitties, in our community. Gertrude will be ten next year....I think "calendar girl" would be the perfect way to celebrate this special milestone.
