Pet's Story
I was at a dog adoption event ten years ago and Cinnamon was in very bad shape. I believe she was a year old or so. She was malnourished with her ribs showing. This young lady had scabs at the tips of both ears likely from a fence. They open up on occasion and we have a special hoodie for that. She also wouldn't look at me as she was so incredibly frightened. All she did was tremble. When I tried to touch her, that frightened her more. I took her home and she hid upstairs for two days. We worked together for so very long. She got her first toy/bone but had no idea what to do with it-I showed her. I was so incredibly patient with her. Time, she needed time. She eventually started to look in my eyes and I could see the love within her. She has grown into the best dog anyone could ask for. Yes, she still cowers easily and that will always be but she loves to play, she loves to spoon me on the couch. She has learned basic manners. She has changed my world! Look at her ears. She has Sister Bertrille ears!! I love her more than words can say.
