Entries
All local dogs are encouraged to enter the contest to win a spot in our Paws of Peregian Calendar. In order to enter your pet, you must include:
- Your Pet's Name
- Your First and Last Name
- Email
- Phone Number
- A paragraph (limited to 125 words) which tells voters something fun or interesting about your pet. Remember that if your pet wins, this will be shared in our calendar, so be sure to make it engaging.
- All contestants must submit their photo to the GoGo Photo Contest website. We cannot accept applications or photos in person at this time.
- Each entry is a $5 fee.
- The submissions period starts 1 November 2021 at 8:00 AM AEDT and ends 28 November 2021 at 9:00 PM AEST.
- Posting more than one photo of your dog does not increase the chances of winning. The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 13 entries that receive the most votes. The same dog can only win once.
- Entries are limited to one pet per entry. It is permitted for more than one pet per owner to be awarded votes and therefore feature in the Calendar. However, both animals will be photographed in the one shoot.
Eligible Photographs
- All photos must be uploaded. Acceptable picture formats are jpg and png. We cannot accept printed photos.
- Pictures should only feature the pet being entered into the contest. Do not share a picture that has multiple animals or people.
- Pictures must be in colour.
- The dog featured in the picture may not be edited or altered, other than minor colour, contrast, or sharpness adjustments.
- Pictures must not be copyrighted.
- Any image that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent or obscene, as determined by Wavell Bush Photography will be removed from the contest.
Voting
- Each $1 donation counts as one (1) vote.
- All donations from voting are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site
- All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.
- The Voting Period starts on 1 November 2021 at 8:00 AM AEDT and ends on 28 November 2021 at 9:00 PM AEST.
Calendar Photo Session
- The top 13 vote getters will win a professional on-location dog photography session with Wavell Bush Photography on 1st & 2nd December 2021 at Peregian Village. If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times or find yourself unable to travel to the pre-selected location, you forfeit your winning and the next top vote getter will take your dog's spot in the calendar, no exceptions.
- The top voted recipient will win the coveted cover photo for the 2022 Calendar. The following 12 recipients with the most votes will be eligible to have their dog featured as a dog of the month for a month in the year.
- Wavell Bush Photography will choose the best image of the dog to be used in the Calendar, as well as which month that image will appear.
- Winners have the opportunity to order prints and products after the session.
Weekly Mini-Contests
- The dog receiving the highest number of new votes each week, over the course of the contest will win a mini-contest prize from one of the participating businesses.
- Each dog may only win a weekly mini-contest once.
- In the event of a tie, a random computerised draw will be held between the highest vote getters of the week to determine that week's winner.
- In the event that there are no new votes for that week, a random computerised draw will be held from all eligible pets.
- Certain individual business restrictions and limitations may apply, and may vary by business. Wavell Bush Photography is not responsible for these restrictions and eligibility requirements as determined by each business.
Terms & Conditions
- By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you, and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder may take against you.
- No digital files, prints or products are included in the prize for the top 13 highest vote getters unless otherwise specified. You'll have the opportunity to order prints and products after the session. Wavell Bush Photography's prints and product guide is available to view here.
- Calendars will be available for distribution starting from mid December 2021.
- By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Wavell Bush Photography and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
