My girlfriend knew I wanted another doggie after our Mandy passed away a year previously. She saw some black lab puppies on Craig's List but my husband said "no". Several weeks later she called to tell me that she was at our local Walmart and there was a lady there giving away those same puppies off the back of her pickup truck. She said she grabbed the female and would wait for me to come and get her. I finally managed to convince my husband that we really needed to get this puppy and off I went. The woman's little girl had already named her, Penelope, so we call her Penny, for short! I brought her home and handed her to my husband and said I was off to Petsmart to buy supplies. When I returned, they were in the recliner, Penny snuggled up on my husband's chest sleeping!
